The maid - by Nita prose , I read this book because it was on Obama’s book recommendation list last year. It is full of twists and turns till the end.
Scion of ishkavaku- i love tripathi’s books, he writes stories about mythological figures like ram, shiva, sita portraying them as normal people - that is with no magic superhuman powers etc. I hope he writes stories based on mahabharat characters one day.
Magpie murders, The word is murder - both books are written by Anthony Horowitz who has an amazing style of storytelling, magpie murders was also made into a tv show, I recommend these books to everyone interested in murder mysteries.
Catch-22 by Joseph heller - this book doesn’t need any introduction, it has been named in best novels of all time list by time magazine, Newsweek etc, and I also loved the show based on this book (directed by George Clooney)
1984 by George Orwell,
this was on my list for a long time, it is considered one of the great books of 20th century and I loved it.
